A Little Travel

Well these last months of the year are going to be incredibly busy. Between my new writing schedule, travel for work and family, enjoying the holidays, and just general living my life, my calendar is more stuffed than Riley Reid. So if I’m not alway posting an update on Monday, that is why.

In addition to updates and public journaling I think I’ll also spend some of my word count here talking about interesting art I’ve been enjoying.

I just started a show called “Scavenger’s Reign” and after only the first episode I was completely blown away. I originally put it on while I worked on the outlines for upcoming podcast episodes but quickly had to shut my laptop as I got sucked into this truly bizarre alien world. I’d best describe this series as a “vibes show”, the plot and characters are fairly simple, at least so far, but the real reason to watch the show is to see how the incredibly alien environment interacts with the characters and itself. It’s a story about a crashed spaceship where three groups of survivors try to live on this truly alien planet. Nothing on this world looks familiar. The creatures, the plant life, the atmosphere are all bizarre and never work how you think they will. Please go check out this show on Max.

Now for the work update!

Fucked Up Wholesome;

Ep 4 came out just before this will be published. In this episode Kate has me watch the Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai, which was an incredibly bizarre movie, and I tell Kate about three different extraterrestrial encounters.

Ep 5 is almost ready to be recorded. We’re putting the finishing touches on the sketches and will record it before Kate and I fly away to our Thanksgiving vacations.

Project Luna continues. Even after working on comics for a few years now it is still always exciting to get new art work based on the words that you wrote. The artist is amazing and I can’t wait to show more as it continues.

Project Ring is going a little slow. I’ve been working very hard on other projects, but I’ve carved out some time later this week just for this project.

NaNoWriMo, 8441 words, I put in very little planning to this idea. It had been something that was bumping around for a while and making myself write it out has really helped me see what this project wants to be. It’s both grander and more personal than I thought it was going to be. If it ever is to see the light of day it will already need some really extensive rewrites, but I’m having fun working on it, and I think that is what’s most important.

Well, now I gotta get back to work. I’ll write you guys next week. Bye!
